Tannerbarn Cottages and Barn
Tannerbarn cottages and barn are abandoned structures up on the hill side behind the Winfields store site in Haslingden, Lancashire. Possibly built between the late 1800's to early 1900's the buildings would have likely been lodgings for the farm workers at the time. It is believed the site was purchased by MR Winfield who planned on developing the site, the local council rejected the plans and it is said that MR Winfield vowed to let the site rot as a form of protest. Today the buildings are in a dangerous state, some of the walls would collapse under the slightest of pushes. The interior has been re claimed by mother nature and it is hard to imagine that people once lived here. The cellar of one of the cottages looks like it could cave in at any time.
