Blackburn Royal Infirmary
Blackburn Royal Infirmary first opened its doors to patients in 1865 with further extensions added to the original building in 1965 and 1980 to help cope with the expanding population of the local area. The hospital continued to operate up until 2006 when it was merged with Queens Park Hospital to become the Royal Blackburn Hospital. Today most of the site has been levelled and replaced by an estate of nice shiny cardboard people coops. The remaining building is in a sad state and posses many dangers but also contains some nice features. The only access to the upper floors is via the external fire escapes which leaves you feeling very exposed.
